We are seeking a dynamic DevOps Engagement Manager to lead a DevOps managed services engagement for one of our key clients. This role involves project management, consulting, and service delivery, focusing on driving DevOps adoption, improving maturity, and demonstrating tangible business benefits. The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise, a working knowledge of DevOps practices, and exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Project and Engagement Management:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a DevOps managed services engagement, ensuring the successful implementation of both consulting and delivery milestones.
- Manage scope, schedules, risks, and deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare project plans, define activities, assign resources, and monitor schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and manage project financials, including sign-offs, invoicing, and cost tracking.
- DevOps Leadership and Advocacy:
- Introduce and articulate the DevOps Framework to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client goals and strategies.
- Act as a DevOps champion, promoting best practices and demonstrating their benefits across teams and systems.
- Assess and track the client's DevOps maturity level, providing recommendations to advance their practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored DevOps roadmaps and monitor their implementation.
- Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the client, delivery teams, and technology vendors.
- Conduct regular stakeholder meetings, including weekly status updates and progress reporting.
- Communicate DevOps adoption progress, highlighting challenges, risks, and mitigation plans.
متطلبات الوظيفة
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience, including:
- 3+ years in Software Project Management or related roles.
- Experience in DevOps processes and practices is a plus.
- Consultation experience is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Ability to articulate and advocate for DevOps best practices to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven project management skills: managing scope, schedules, risks, and deliverables.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and risk-mitigation skills.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and technology evaluations.
- Financial management skills, including invoicing and budget tracking.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
