Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. In this role, you will support various accounting and administrative functions, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance with company policies. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting while contributing to the company’s success.

Key Responsibilities

As an Accounts Assistant, your main duties will include:

  • Assisting with accounts payable and receivable tasks, including invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records in line with company policies and accounting principles.
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and statements.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Managing petty cash transactions and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Assisting with payroll processing and related administrative tasks.
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance department, including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial processes.
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects and other tasks as assigned by the finance team.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing one) in Accounting, Finance, Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), or a related field.
  • A basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn.
