Alchemi is looking to hire a talented Land Surveyor. The Land Surveyor will be responsible for the land survey works, measurements, and calculations in various construction and engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake meticulous land and field surveys, incorporating advanced geodetic calculations and detailed topographic surveys to capture accurate as-built conditions and quantify project elements.
- Implement precise setting-out and leveling procedures to establish accurate reference points and elevations.
- Execute comprehensive construction survey layouts to guide construction activities and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Operate and proficiently utilize a range of specialized surveying equipment, precise leveling instruments, and total stations, to collect high-quality field data.
- Perform rigorous mathematical calculations, such as coordinate transformations, distance calculations, and volume computations, to verify and confirm the accuracy of survey measurements.
- Actively collaborate with Engineers from different disciplines and the Resident Engineer to efficiently plan and execute daily field operations.
- Demonstrate the ability to independently conduct solo surveys, requiring strong problem-solving skills and self-reliance.
- Proactively identify and report any non-conformances to established standards, procedures, and specifications, ensuring quality control and adherence to project requirements.
- Ensure the timely issuance of survey requests in accordance with Royal Commission procedures, facilitating efficient project execution.
- Diligently carry out all field tasks assigned by the Royal Commission and/or Department Manager, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and project success.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field with Minimum of three (7) years of hands-on experience in the field of surveying, including extensive exposure to various surveying techniques and technologies.
- Proficient in the use of industry-standard CAD software, survey software, total stations, and data collectors, enabling efficient data collection, processing, and analysis.
