We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Governance Consultant to enhance our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in IT governance, compliance, and risk management, supported by a robust consulting background. Proficiency in designing, implementing, and auditing IT governance frameworks while ensuring adherence to international standards and regulations is a must.

Governance Framework Development & Implementation:

· Create, implement, and sustain IT governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with industry best practices such as COBIT, ISO 38500, and ITIL.

· Establish and articulate policies and procedures in line with global governance methodologies and regulatory obligations.

· Perform regular assessments and updates of governance frameworks to maintain their relevance and effectiveness.

· Ensure orchestrated integration of governance policies across diverse business units.

Regulatory Compliance & Audit Support:

· Keep abreast of changes in regulatory compliance at both local and international levels.

· Carry out internal audits and compliance evaluations to verify alignment with governance frameworks.

· Devise and implement corrective action plans to rectify non-compliance issues and governance vulnerabilities.

· Preserve governance documentation to bolster audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Risk Management & Process Improvement:

· Identify, evaluate, and mitigate IT governance risks in concert with business objectives.

· Formulate action plans to rectify governance deficiencies and advance IT governance maturity.

· Collaborate closely with stakeholders to delineate governance controls and enhance risk management strategies.

Consulting & Client Engagement:

· Utilize consulting acumen to assess client requirements, evaluate governance maturity, and propose strategic enhancements.

· Offer customized solutions to align IT governance frameworks with corporate goals and regulatory mandates.

· Partner with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and improve governance functionality.

Training & Communication:

· Design and conduct training sessions and workshops to enlighten employees about governance policies and frameworks.

· Act as a governance subject matter expert (SME), providing counsel to internal teams and clients.

· Compile reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders to elucidate governance initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical and Knowledge-Based Skills

· Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 38500, and ITIL.

· Proficiency in regulatory compliance and internal auditing processes.

· Ability to assess risks, develop corrective action plans, and monitor compliance.

· Competency in crafting, documenting, and enforcing IT policies in accordance with international standards.

· Familiarity with GRC tools and audit management systems.

· Understanding of IT environments, including cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

· Capability to analyze governance regulations and translate them into actionable policies.

Qualifications and Professional Certifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, Governance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.

· 5-7 years of experience in governance, compliance, or a related domain, with exposure to international regulations and governance frameworks.

· Prior experience in an IT governance consulting capacity is highly valued.

· Professional certifications in governance, risk, and compliance, including:

  • CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT)
  • CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional)
  • CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance)
  • ISO/IEC 38500 Lead Auditor
