Quality Control Manager - Your future position?

We are currently looking to hire a ‘Quality Control Manager’ to plan, organize and oversee the implementation of Quality Control programs. In this role you will be based in our 6th October City office near Cairo in Egypt and report into the Head of Quality in Egypt.

In this exciting role, your core responsibilities will be -

Strategy design and execution:

  • Based on QM strategy, develop tactical and operational quality control plans for the assigned site in order to meet quality control objectives

Function management:

  • Lead the local Quality Control team in executing defined Quality Control programs
  • Conduct audits of finished goods, manufacturing equipment as well as use thereof to identify and recommend changes to management or methods to improve workflow or techniques to enhance product quality and reliability
  • Conduct evaluations of operations staff to measure compliance and deploy relevant corrective actions toaddress deviations (training, operative procedures, safety measures)
  • Review and validate inspection reports and documentation required to support findings
  • Collaborate with other managers, engineers, logisticians, and field activities to ensure product/process specifications are followed
  • Ensure compliance with national, international, and corporate quality standards and applicable environmental, health and safety requirements
  • Communicate and report quality program performance, variances, and risks
  • Execute the program(s) within approved budget

People management

  • Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes within the local QC organization and validate related results
  • Work with the local Operations management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a talent pipeline for the local QC organization
  • Drive the development and promotion of local QC talents within Operations

Your professional profile includes -

  • University degree in Science or Agriculture or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Control
  • 3+ years of experience in people management
  • Proficiency in systems and procedures for laboratory operations
  • Proficiency in production methods and quality control systems and procedures in manufacturing facilities
  • Broad based knowledge of product technologies and applications
  • Broad based knowledge of ingredients and products safety principles, global standards as well as regulations
  • Knowledge of ingredients and products labelling regulations
  • Knowledge of sensory principles and understanding of the data analysis of sensory results
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience in SAP or any ERP is preferred
  • Fluency in English and Arabic
