Job Description

The Acquiring Sales team leader for KSA Acquiring Business is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive merchant acquisition and revenue growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role will lead a team of sales professionals, build strategic relationships with key merchants, and ensure the company's acquiring solutions meet the market demands. The incumbent will collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to deliver exceptional merchant experiences while achieving ambitious sales targets and expanding market share in the competitive KSA payments landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive merchant acquisition and revenue growth in the KSA market
  • Set and achieve ambitious sales targets for the acquiring business
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market analysis and strategic prospecting
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize results
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular coaching and feedback
  • Implement effective training programs to enhance team capabilities and product knowledge
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchants and strategic partners
  • Understand merchant needs and pain points to position our acquiring solutions effectively
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements that benefit both parties
  • Ensure high levels of merchant satisfaction and retention
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in the KSA payments landscape
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform sales strategies and identify growth opportunities
  • Provide valuable feedback to product and marketing teams based on merchant interactions and market insights
  • Monitor regulatory changes that may impact sales strategies and merchant relationships
  • Work closely with product, marketing, operations, and compliance teams to ensure aligned go-to-market strategies
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure acquiring solutions meet merchant needs and market demands
  • Partner with marketing to develop effective campaigns and sales collateral
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure smooth merchant onboarding and support
  • Forecast sales revenues accurately and manage sales budgets effectively
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets
  • Identify opportunities to optimize sales processes and improve efficiency
  • Contribute to annual business planning and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5-6 years of sales experience in financial services, payment solutions, or related industries, mainly in Acquiring.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the KSA payments ecosystem, particularly in merchant acquiring
  • Experience in building and managing strategic relationships with enterprise clients
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with experience in complex, high-value deals
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in both Arabic and English
  • Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients.
  • Good mentoring, team building, motivating, & negotiating skills.
  • Working to tight deadlines, an ability to perform well in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong team player, flexible, proactive, with a strong desire to learn.
