As Director of Marketing & Communications, we rely on you to:
- Drive innovative marketing and communication strategies, with a strong focus on demand generation, brand experience and PR initiatives which will improve key financial and customer metrics for the hotels and their F&B venues
- Develop content led communication plan and integrate across key channels to communicate hotel positioning and brand pillars to target audience
- Drive brand activation and ensure the brand experience comes alive through the hotel's messaging and guest experience
- Create integrated tactical & segmental campaign plan focusing on demand generation and high impact activities with proven ROI across all key segments
- Act as guardian and custodian for all internal and external communications
- Oversee hotel social media and develop content strategy to raise awareness of the brand and increase the engagement level
- Collaborate with Hotel Executive team to develop, implement and nurture the hotel's ESG activities as per the corporate guidelines
- Identify partnership opportunities and develop co-partnership events/promotions to enhance hotel and brand awareness
- Develop overarching marketing strategy including marketing plans and property email strategy to overall hotel marketing budgets for the hotel/group of hotels they support to align with business priorities
- Oversee execution of all marketing initiatives, projects and collateral production to verify that sales and marketing objectives are achieved and that revenue opportunities are maximized
- Cultivate partnership and active participation in demand generation strategy development (SMR)
- Reconcile marketing plan monthly with accruals, forecast in conjunction with Director of Finance
- Lead repositioning efforts in partnership with Brand Team, VP Operations & GM for Shangri-La Dubai Hotel and hotel executive team
- Serve as the hotel(s) brand guardian / liaison, verifying all marketing reflects brand voice. Leads the strategic pull-though of continent and brand promotions and campaigns
- Partner with Revenue Management to develop and execute promotional strategy efforts
- Support group lead generation efforts
- Run reviews, analyses and clearly articulates to stakeholder’s and owners the key marketing reports with the ability to quickly adapt and adjust strategy accordingly
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Preferably has relevant experience from an International 5* Hotel Group
- Is always kept up to date with latest industry trends and market practices
- Is effective team player with good interpersonal skills who can collaborate
- Is detailed-minded, result oriented and can multi-task
- Manages direct reports and monitors overarching marketing performance
- Completes other reasonable duties as requested by leadership
