Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential suppliers and vendors for solar energy equipment and materials, considering factors such as quality, cost, and delivery time.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities, track records, and certifications to ensure suitability for project requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop procurement plans and strategies aligned with project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Analyze project requirements and forecast material needs to optimize procurement processes and minimize project delays.
  • Execute the procurement process, including requesting and reviewing quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and issuing purchase orders.
  • Monitor and track the status of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to manage inbound shipments and inventory levels effectively.
  • Ensure that all procured materials and equipment meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct supplier audits and inspections as necessary to verify compliance with contractual agreements and industry standards.
  • Address any quality issues or discrepancies promptly and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the solar energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with solar energy equipment and materials, including PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, and electrical components.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
