About the Role

The Product Owner will collaborate closely with Development teams, Internal Departments, and Business Functions to identify and create solution offerings for the product backlog.

As our Product Owner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with various departments for Product Discussions
  • Designing effective solutions
  • Planning the product backlog
  • Suggesting Process Enhancements
  • Meeting KPIs related to Requirements Quality

Objectives of This Position

  • Engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders to elicit Requirements for Solutioning.
  • Assist customers in pinpointing their specific needs and structuring the resultant requirements.
  • Integrate industry-specific, business-specific, and high-risk payment gateway requirements into concepts and prepare business requirements for technical execution.
  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for merchants and address any challenges that arise in merchant services.
  • Proactively utilize and improve internal tools and applications.
  • Grasp the vision of the Product and the Roadmap, transforming the Roadmap into the Team’s backlog with Epics, Features, and User Stories.
  • Identify areas needing process improvements and technical resolutions.
  • Maintain the JIRA board to stay in line with Scrum Teams and Sprint cycles.
  • Participate in Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Refinement, and Retrospection.
  • Engage actively with Development Teams for day-to-day operations.
  • Execute User Acceptance Testing to confirm alignment with requirements.
  • Prepare process flow and process description documentation.
  • Conduct industry research to stay informed on the latest trends, especially in high-risk payments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Data Analysis, or a related field (a Master’s degree is preferable). CSM, CSPO, or SAFe certifications will be advantageous.
  • You have at least 5-7 years of experience, including substantial exposure to High-Risk Payment Gateways and organizations in Payments, BFSI, Travel Tech, E-commerce Tech, or Remittances.
  • You are self-organized, highly motivated, and proactive in developing solutions.
  • You thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • You possess the ambition and passion to tackle difficult challenges.
  • You can manage multiple tasks and work on a variety of requirements.
  • You have a solid understanding of Business Strategy, User Experience Design, and Technology.
  • You have extensive experience in Scrum and other Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Figma, and enterprise platforms is a plus.

  • Perform industry research to stay updated with the latest trends, particularly in the high-risk payments industry.

You will be a good fit if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Data Analysis, or related fields (Master’s degree is preferred). CSM, CSPO, or SAFe certifications would be beneficial.
  • Have a minimum of 5-7 years' experience, including significant experience working with High-Risk Payment Gateways and organisations in Payments, BFSI, Travel Tech, E-commerce Tech, or Remittances.
  • Are self-structured, highly motivated, and driven to come up with solutions.
  • Can work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Have the curiosity and passion to take on tough challenges.
  • Are able to multitask and work on a diverse range of requirements.
  • Have a solid understanding of Business Strategy, User Experience Design, and Technology.
  • Have significant experience in Scrum and other Agile methodologies.
  • Are experienced in Jira, Confluence, Figma, and enterprise platforms (advantageous)
