Job Summary:

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in UAE payroll, WPS processing, and benefits administration, with excellent attention to detail and knowledge of payroll software and labor laws.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Processing & Administration

  • Process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Calculate salaries, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and end-of-service benefits in line with UAE labor laws.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with Wage Protection System (WPS) requirements.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee salary details.

2. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence

  • Ensure adherence to UAE labor laws, pension requirements, and company policies.
  • Handle gratuity calculations, leave salary, and final settlements for resignations and terminations.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, tax laws, and government mandates affecting payroll processing.

3. Benefits & Deductions Management

  • Manage employee benefits, including medical insurance, leave balances, and pension contributions.
  • Administer salary advances, and deductions as per company policies.

4. Reporting & Reconciliation

  • Prepare payroll reports, including payroll summaries, tax filings, and reconciliation reports.
  • Ensure timely submission of payroll-related documents to finance and HR teams.
  • Conduct periodic audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

5. Employee Support & Coordination

  • Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, leave balance, and benefits.
  • Coordinate with HR and finance teams for any payroll adjustments or corrections.
  • Assist in payroll software implementation and system enhancements for efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably in healthcare or corporate settings.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws, WPS, and payroll regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar systems).
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential payroll data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
