Job Requirements
Mission
- Develop the studies of Body systems during the entire product development process - Design sheet metal parts for the BIW/DIW following customers standards & technical requirements
Main Tasks
- Define technical solutions in coherence with project targets (performance, weight, cost) and technological constrains
- Develop cad model studies of complex systems made by multiple parts respecting feasibility and vehicle packaging constrains
- Guarantees the application of design rules and best practices
- Produce the design technical documentation
- Participate to different technical meetings
- Coordinate the activities and guarantee the tasks fulfillment of the assigned group of designers
- Execute drawings of components and assemblies
- Define the product CAD and BOM structure
- Operate according to Customer development process
- Analysis of the robustness of 3D parts, convergence of technical problems and hard points with the different specialties (architecture, assembly)
- Ensures the availability and validity of input data.
- Parametric design of sheet metal parts: UnderBody, UpperBody, Doors, Hood & Fenders
- Understand the constraints and objectives of the parts to be designed or updated.
- Design and analysis of sheet metal parts respecting the vehicle environment.
- Feasibility study of manufacturing and assembly of parts in convergence with other trades (stamping, fitting, assembly...).
- Ensures the quality & deadline of CAD deliverables.
- Integrate product / process / service feasibility Update the welding spots
- Respect of technical referential and standards in agreement with production plant.
