Description

Role Overview: As a Direct Imports Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating international shipments from origin to final delivery at Amazon Fulfillment Centers. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Direct Imports vendor payments

Drive process improvements to reduce invoice defects and enhance vendor compliance

Conduct vendor training sessions to ensure alignment with Amazon's procurement standards

  • Financial Operations Coordinate budget approvals with Operations Finance team Manage publishing calendars and payment timelines Create and track Purchase Requisitions (PRs) Handle Purchase Order (PO) distribution to vendors Process and validate vendor invoices Support Statement of Account (SOA) reconciliation for Direct Import vendors Serve as primary point of contact for assigned vendors Establish and maintain approval workflows with operations team Monitor vendor performance and compliance metrics Implement and track vendor training initiatives

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field

  • experience in procurement, finance, or supply chain operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and enterprise procurement systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with international procurement or imports
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Six Sigma or process improvement certification
  • Previous experience in vendor management
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation
  • Demonstrated project management skills
