GEMS International School Cairo (GISC) is looking for outstanding PYP Coordinator to join our team from August/September 2025
The PYP coordinator at GISC serves to ensure the highest level of fidelity to the IB PYP program from Pre-K through Grade 5 (PYP 1-8). He/she will oversee transdisciplinary and grade level planning, assist teachers with the development of units of inquiry, regularly audit teachers’ submissions and communications on our LMS (Toddle), and act as the school’s liaison with the IB organization in matters related to updating program and training, authorization, and all other PYP-related communication.
Responsibilities will include direct supervision of specialist area teachers (World Languages, Art, Music, PHE, Design Tech) serving all PYP grades, excluding Arabic.
The PYP coordinator will also liaise with the MYP and DP coordinators to ensure a strong curriculum sequence and successful student transition.
GISC is a fully authorized IB continuum school.

- Degree certification in addition to a certified teaching qualification, such as a valid US Teaching/leadership license or equivalent
- Master’s in education
- Minimum 3 years of previous experience as PYP Coordinator in a strong IB international school
- Minimum 5 years teaching experience
- International school experience, within the IB is a plus
- In-depth knowledge and experience in PYP
