Shift Supervisor

Guardian is looking for a Shift Supervisor.

The position is based in 10th of Ramadan city, Sharqia.

What You Will Do

• Proactively manage safety by identifying and eliminating hazards, assigning the right personnel to appropriate positions, and ensuring adherence to standard procedures.
• Understand quality specifications and how production processes impact them. Confidently review QC data to verify that products are being produced within specifications.
• Thoroughly investigate production and equipment issues to identify root causes and communicate findings to the appropriate process support teams.
• Efficiently manage labor hours by understanding personnel requirements for various coatings.
• Train the production team to be cross-functional, focusing on developing and backfilling high-level positions. Anticipate and prepare for future staffing needs.
• Enhance line efficiency by minimizing gaps, maximizing bed utilization, and optimizing line speeds, labor usage, and yield.
• Plan jib boom, sling, and rack management as necessary.
• Assist in identifying and developing best practices for the production team.
• Track, audit, and verify production and consumption data to identify areas of glass loss. Minimize losses and maximize yields.
• Perform general administrative duties, including maintaining files, conducting performance summaries, reviews, and implementing corrective actions.
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Chemistry, or similar).
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
• Good level of communication in English
• Ability to dig deep into issues to identify root causes.
• Forward-thinking with the ability to anticipate potential issues.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction across multiple levels, from production to management.
• Quick learner with the capability to understand new processes and applications.
• Ability to comprehend technical and mechanical aspects of the production process.
• Leadership skills to manage and advance a production team and processes beyond mere maintenance.
