Senior Project Manager - Ops Hubs (DB)

JASARA PMC is on the lookout for a Senior Project Manager specializing in Operations Hubs (DB) to join our innovative team. This pivotal role will focus on driving the successful delivery of operational hubs as part of our commitment to enhancing project execution through excellence in management practices. You will leverage your extensive experience to foster collaboration and manage resources efficiently, ensuring that the projects meet their objectives while reaping the benefits of best practices in project management.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of infrastructure projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Coordinate with stakeholders, leadership, and other teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Evaluate and mitigate project risks and provide solutions to unexpected challenges.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads and inspires the health, Safety, and wellbeing culture on the project, and empowers the Team to execute on health/safety/wellbeing initiatives, specifically ‘Stop Work’ authority. Works with HSE team to ensure full compliance with regulations, conducts safety audits.  
  • Demonstrates leadership behaviors, in line with the company values, at all times.  
  • Manages the team’s deliverables through effective leadership by setting individual objectives, managing performance and developing the team to maximize performance.  
  • Sets the strategic direction for the overall project planning and execution.  
  • Supports (and deputizes) the Project Director where required, in preparing for Ways of Working governance processes and approval committees.  
  • Leads coordination and interface of disciplines for full oversight of project schedules, costs, risks, quality and safety risks and opportunities.   
  • Accountable for the approval and compliance of the project execution plan across all relevant stakeholders  
  • Provides regular status reports and updates to senior level and other key stakeholders  
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices  
  • Ensures project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards.  
  • Supports commercial budgeting and maintains financial controls to ensure projects remain within budget.  
  • Fosters collaboration and coordination across cross-functional teams and districts.   
  • Oversees project interfaces within the projects and manage interfaces with other projects.    
  • Work with the Delivery Partner to develop annual objectives, resourcing plans, critical schedule milestones, stakeholder engagement, and other critical requirements.   
  • Drives the alignment between the design requirements and the contractual requirements by reviewing, identifying gaps, providing feedback, and facilitating the necessary resolution.  
  • Leads reviews of design documents to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and specifications.  
  • Identifies and address any gaps or conflicts between the design and contract requirements.  
  • Coordinates closely with the Procurement Team – input in scoping, tender reviews, performance analysis etc.  
  • Leads project meetings; value engineering sessions; problem resolution discussions; design reviews; spot construction inspections; presentations; periodic checks of project documentation; training sessions for junior employees; evaluations of proposals from consultants and contractors; development of the monthly executive summary for the project; contract and claims negotiations; public outreach events; and other activities as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree: Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related     field, preferred.  
  • Higher National Diploma: Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field. 
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification (e.g., Prince2, Agile, etc.) - Desirable  
  • 12 – 15 years relevant experience as a Project Manager, leading complex projects from initiation to closure.  
  • 15 years experience in infrastructure process plant experience preferably in design, build and operate model
  • Evidence of managing multiple projects simultaneously.  
  • Diverse experience working within Mega/large scale complex design and construction programs across private and/or government sectors.  
  • Previous KSA /Middle East experience preferred  
  • Foster a culture of Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing business requirements. 
  • Expertly manages and prioritizes the workload of the team, deadline driven.  
  • Leverage exceptional written and verbal skills in English to effectively articulate ideas, strategies, and project performance to a range of audiences.  
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of enterprise-level management software, such as (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Aconex, etc.) or similar systems    
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to set clear goals, motivate teams and deliver results.   
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead the commercial function's direction, specifically endorsing or opposing practices as needed.  
  • Significant experience required in development, implementation and management of business systems, including policies and procedures.   
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver challenging goals and objectives using industry knowledge to aid decision making.  
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across multiple departments. 
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
