Job Description

We are seeking a professional and friendly Doorman to join our team at SO/ Uptown Dubai Residences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for everyone who enters our establishment.

  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional demeanor
  • Assist guests with luggage, providing prompt and efficient service
  • Escort guests to their rooms and explain room facilities
  • Promote hotel amenities, including restaurants, bars, and spa services
  • Handle guest requests and inquiries with a customer-focused approach
  • Manage luggage storage area, ensuring it remains clean and organized
  • Provide information about local attractions, transportation, and services
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Maintain awareness of hotel events and functions
  • Assist with valet parking services when required
  • Ensure the entrance area is clean, safe, and presentable at all times

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in an upscale hotel or hospitality setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of Arabic language is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle luggage
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver's license (for valet parking duties, if required)
  • Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and services in Dubai
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
