Job Description
We are seeking a professional and friendly Doorman to join our team at SO/ Uptown Dubai Residences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for everyone who enters our establishment.
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional demeanor
- Assist guests with luggage, providing prompt and efficient service
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain room facilities
- Promote hotel amenities, including restaurants, bars, and spa services
- Handle guest requests and inquiries with a customer-focused approach
- Manage luggage storage area, ensuring it remains clean and organized
- Provide information about local attractions, transportation, and services
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Maintain awareness of hotel events and functions
- Assist with valet parking services when required
- Ensure the entrance area is clean, safe, and presentable at all times
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in an upscale hotel or hospitality setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Knowledge of Arabic language is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle luggage
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license (for valet parking duties, if required)
- Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and services in Dubai
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
