Overview

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all facility operations to

ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. This role requires a strong

technical background, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal

candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale facilities and implementing

cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Operations:

  • Oversee daily facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and cleaning.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize asset life.
  • Manage facility budgets, including capital expenditures and operational costs.
  • Monitor and control energy consumption to reduce costs and environmental impact.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Technical Expertise:

  • Possess a strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to facility equipment and infrastructure.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts for maintenance, repair, and construction services.
  • Utilize building management systems (BMS) to monitor and control facility operations.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies to improve facility efficiency and sustainability.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage contracts with external service providers, such as cleaning, catering, security, and landscaping.
  • Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Resolve service issues promptly and effectively.

Occupant Services:

  • Respond to tenant requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with tenants to schedule maintenance and repairs.
  • Manage reception and front desk services, including visitor access and mail delivery.

Safety:

  • Implement security measures to protect the facility and its occupants.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and emergency drills.
  • Develop and enforce emergency response plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
