Job Description

Organization Unit Purpose

BSG CDD team performs due diligence check on C&IB clients both corporates and FIG customers, during onboarding and ongoing reviews. The team liaise with customers directly for requirements and work closely with Business Compliance, Business Segments, Tanfeeth ARC and RMC.

CDD review should ensure adherence to Compliance policy and all other internal & external guidelines. The responsibility extends to ensure customer data is updated in Finacle and required documentation is stored in bank’s records.

Job Purpose

The role of CDD Assistant Manager will be as below:

  • Ensure CDD review of documents, risk assessment, screening, preparation of CDD forms, transaction monitoring are done in line with Compliance and C&IB guidelines within minimum engagement from Business teams.
  • Monitor and conclusion of CDD cases under onboarding, triggers and periodic reviews.
  • Coordinate with Compliance, OPC ARC and RMC where required
  • Guide CDD analyst on review queries and improve quality of KYC reviews.
  • Engage with customers along with analyst for detailed clarification on guidelines/requirements
  • Manage issues/escalations from the customer/RM relating to cases reviewed

Job Content

  • CDD Review and Completion –NTB, Periodic Review and Trigger reviews.
  • Portfolio will be assigned to cover both CB and FIG to each analyst where each reviewer will
  • Review cases as per Compliance and internal/external guidelines circulated.
  • Ensure process is always followed with minimum engagement of business teams.
  • Risk based approach followed on documentation checks, screening, and transaction monitoring as part of CDD process including assessment of Trade products with volumes.
  • Work with the team manager to ensure that the portfolio assigned is completed as per given timelines. Focus remains on TATs and SLAs.
  • Where exceptions are identified they are approved as per delegated authorities
  • Track pending cases and follow up with analyst. Escalate non-responsive cases for resolution.
  • Reworks of analysts to be analyzed and guide them for quality enhancement
  • Where needed, engage with customers, Business teams and compliance to clarify and conclude the cases
  • Review and respond to quality assurance/audit feedback.
  • Monitor and update BPM queue for DED cases, NTB cases and Sharepoint queue for ongoing reviews
  • Annual PEP assessment of CIFs assigned by manager.
  • Where needed look for process improvements and enhance existing standards to ensure that the data quality of portfolio as well as risk is well managed.
  • Contact ENBD branches for documents/details for common customers across groups.
  • Liaise with ARC team for data related query and RMC for documentations related query
  • Assist business team, subsidiaries, and branches for any CDD related query including documents.
  • Management of regulatory requirements such as ID documents, Fatca and CRS.
  • Team and Management support.
  • Manage the control functions of the team.
  • Timely submission of management reports.
  • Engage in projects and initiatives as assigned. This includes end to end management with implementation support.
  • Support to RM team - Be central point of contact for compliance or CDD queries.

Education

  • The incumbent will have a degree education as minimum
  • Professional certifications in Compliance, AML such as CAMS

Experiences

  • The incumbent will have 3-10 years of banking experience with at least 3 years of experience in carrying out CDD reviews.
  • UAE experience preferred with an understanding of local corporates/structures etc.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Compliance background with working knowledge of CDD/KYC and other regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of Trade Products will be preferred.
