Your Impact
The Customer Experience (CX) Consulting Engineer (CE) is a technical consulting specialist role engaging with customers. The focus is to help our customers adopt the Cisco products & solutions they purchase from us that allows them to innovate and transform their business, ultimately driving growth. The role resides within the Cisco Customer Experience (CX) organization, one of Cisco’s fastest growing businesses.
Minimum Qualifications:
- CCIE or equivalent experience
- Excellent ASR9K platforms product architecture knowledge and hands on experience including MPLS, BGP, OSPF and ISIS.
- Solid experience in Cisco Core routers and switches devices.
- Well experience on IOS-XR and IOS-XE.
- Solid grasp of the end-to-end IT process, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures, policies and supporting network and security technologies.
- Strong knowledge in NCS-IOSXR platform, and hands-on experience in Segment Routing
- Strong customer-facing skills.
- Solid grasp of the industry landscape (competitors and partners).
- Interpersonal skills to include problem solving, influencing, presentation/demonstration, and written communication.
- Knowledge of native as well as third party Network management, monitoring, and provisioning tools.
- ASR1K series, NCS series, N9K, N7K, N5K and Modular Switches.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide Planning, Designing, Implementation and Optimization services to Cisco Advanced Services Customers.
- Generate HLD, LLD, BoQ, NIP and other technical documents for the project life cycle.
- Attending Customer Meetings to highlight ongoing risks and issues, technical ownership and direction of projects.
- Working as part of a multi-functional team to identify, develop, and deliver customer projects.
- Architect, lead, and implement technical project activities.
- Actively involved in the latest industry SP MPLS deployments
- Establish trusted advisor relationship with customer management and teams on SP MPLS Infrastructure areas and future technology trends.
- Participates in or leads sophisticated SP MPLS design/implementation and migration, performance engineering or problem resolution projects.
- Solves complex, multi-functional issues that cross many technologies including MPLS, BGP, IPv4/IPv6, TE (Traffic Engineering) Segment Routing, OSPF and ISIS.
- Applies good analytic process to help bring any issue to resolution.
- Delivers migration plans, with a detailed understanding on networked applications and related dependencies.
- Ensure compliance to delivery methodology operational structure, roles & responsibilities.
- Track work against the engagement schedule and support the PM track financial, resource and material requirements for the engagements.
- Guide other consultants and engineers, resolving challenges and ensuring customer success.
