As part of an LNG project, d2m Services is supporting an oil & gas operator in recruiting a Piping / Layout Engineer to join the project team. This role is engineering-driven, with a strong focus on piping design, layout development, and material selection.

The Piping/Layout Engineer will be integrated with LNG Project Team and will be responsible for the piping material tasks (Equipment layout, piping specifications and MTOs , piping support, 3D model).

Main Responsibilities

The Piping / Layout Engineer will be responsible for:

Detail Engineering Phase (based at the Engineering Contractor’s Facilities in India):

  • Supervising 3D model and layout development throughout the detail engineering phase.
  • Managing piping and layout interfaces between contractors and company-supplied items.
  • Ensuring the integration of piping stress analysis results into the 3D model.
  • Developing and/or reviewing piping material specifications, insulation, painting specifications, and datasheets for piping components.
  • Reviewing contractor documentation, including design reports, specifications, and drawings.
  • Supporting procurement activities, including technical bid evaluation and vendor documentation review.

Execution Phase:

  • Acting as Field Engineer for technical clarifications with the Fabrication Contractor.
  • Reviewing contractor fabrication and welding specifications.
  • Assessing construction engineering deliverables, such as isometrics and test packs.
  • Providing expertise in materials selection, welding, fabrication, and corrosion control.
  • Participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for vendor packages.

Position based in Dubai  ( permanent position) for a duration of 2 to 3 years, with assignments in India during the detailed engineering phase and in Gabon at the end of the project for commissioning activities.


متطلبات الوظيفة

  • 8-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, including at least 3 years on an LNG project.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong expertise in LNG processes and cryogenic units.
  • Proven ability to coordinate engineering activities, perform problem-solving, and lead risk assessments.
  • Capable of working on-site, including in offshore/onshore environments.
  • Able to climb ladders, enter equipment and offshore operations.

This position requires a strong engineering-focused profile with excellent analytical and coordination skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with technical teams and contractors.
