- Write development sheets including detailed sketches, garment construction, fabric construction, trimmings
- Communicates daily and works closely with cross functional team to ensure quality product
- Understand and communicate the latest fashion trends in the industry with specific knowledge on new designer and current runway collections
- Provides recommendations regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, new concepts
- Demonstrate excellent drawing skills, trend awareness/ brand specific
- Full understanding of garment design, fabrics, trims, production and print techniques
- Working to tight deadlines, being proactive and enthusiastic
- Working well within a team and maintaining strog relationships with Directors, design, production, garment tech, sales and marketing
- Projects are a mix of new creative and production work (changes made to existing collateral and brand pieces)
- Shopping for and sourcing fabrics and trims, including communicating with fabric mills and trim vendors
