Job Description

Job Summary:

The Director of Waterpark is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, operation, and management of the waterpark facilities within Rixos Hotel. This role involves ensuring a high-quality guest experience while maintaining safety, operational efficiency, and profitability. The Director will lead a team of staff, develop waterpark programs, and collaborate with other hotel departments to enhance the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Lead, train, and supervise the waterpark staff, ensuring they deliver exceptional guest service.
    • Create an engaging and positive work environment that fosters teamwork and high performance.
    • Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and revenue generation.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Implement and maintain safety protocols to minimize risks and protect guests and staff.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the waterpark facilities and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Guest Experience:
    • Develop and implement programs and activities that enhance guest enjoyment and engagement in the waterpark.
    • Actively seek guest feedback and implement improvements based on input.
    • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily operations of the waterpark, including staffing, scheduling, and guest services.
    • Monitor and manage inventory and supplies for waterpark operations.
    • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure the waterpark facilities are well-maintained and operational.
  • Marketing and Promotions:
    • Work with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns for the waterpark.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth.
    • Organize special events and activities to attract guests and enhance the waterpark’s appeal.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments:
    • Collaborate with front office, guest services, food and beverage, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of services.
    • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to overall hotel strategy and planning.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a waterpark, resort, or entertainment setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, waterpark operations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to create innovative programs that enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in CPR, first aid, and other relevant safety training.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management in a hospitality context.
  • Experience in marketing and promotions within the hospitality industry.
