Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Director - Technical Services (Theme Park) to lead the technical operations of our theme park facilities. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring that the technical services necessary for the design, construction, and operation of world-class theme park attractions are executed seamlessly in line with Qiddiya's vision.
As the Senior Director of Technical Services, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of technical services, including engineering, maintenance, safety, and operational readiness. Your leadership will not only contribute to the successful rollout of theme park attractions but also ensure ongoing excellence in operations, sustainability, and guest experience.
• Leadership and Management in all aspects of Technical Services Department management

• Operational Expertise in all aspects of Technical Services
o Pre-Opening of a world class park, including project management skills, pre-opening inspections, testing and commissioning and equipment handovers.
o Management of daily Technical Services operations including Attractions, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Facilities, Animatronics, Engineering and Preventative Maintenance.
o Strong knowledge and implementation of health and safety regulations, especially related to ride safety maintenance and facilities.
o Development & implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), including auditing systems.
o Working with International IP Attractions preferred

o Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
o Deep understanding of service delivery, including different types of maintenance to prevent and minimize downtime, manage assets, create reports and analytics, manage inventory and work order management.

• - Bachelor's Degree preferably in any of the following fields: Engineering, technical, Mechanical, or other relevant technical field.- Preferred Master’s Degree - Fields: MBA, Strategic Management, or a related field for enhanced leadership and strategic skills.
Proven experience of at least 10 years in leading the opening and operations of an international theme park in at least 2 countries (preferably at least 1 regionally to KSA), with an annual attendance of at least 1 million visitors. Including day-to-day management of Technical Services Department including; Attractions, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Facilities, Animatronics, Engineering and Preventative Maintenance.
• At least 10 years of proven success in leadership and ability to manage large 100+, diverse (multi-cultural) teams effectively, and having created and maintained a culture of operational excellence and safety.
• Proven operational knowledge and expertise and experience in developing and leading all Technical Services processes & procedures, including Attractions, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Facilities, Animatronics, Engineering and Preventative Maintenance, based on industry standards.
• Proven success in strategic planning and execution to drive equipment availability, prevent and minimize downtime and operational financial results, (cost savings, EBITDA growth) showcasing advanced financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Proven success in developing, leading and implementing safety programs and systems. A deep familiarity with technical procedures, safety rules and regulations, including relevant industry standards;ISO, ASTM, EN. Proven ability to effectively lead preparation and management of risks and crises.
• Experience developing, leading and implementing performance management systems with measurable results and using KPI’s to measure and optimize operational performance.
• Showcased ability to innovate, be creative and adapt to industry and business trends and changes, to enhance the Technical Services Department competitive edge. Experience in implementing technology-driven solutions and data analytics to improve operations and service delivery is a plus.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering exceptional service delivery, including designing and implementing programs to prevent and minimize downtime, manage assets, create reports and analytics, manage inventory and work order management.
