Qiddiya Investment Company is excited to announce a vacancy for the position of Associate Director - Cost Planning (CDU708). This pivotal role involves leading our cost planning initiatives for groundbreaking projects that will shape the entertainment and cultural landscape of Saudi Arabia. You will be accountable for delivering accurate cost assessments and implementing strategies that ensure financial sustainability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the cost planning process for various large-scale developments, aligning financial strategies with project objectives.
- Create comprehensive cost estimates and develop budgets in collaboration with project managers and cross-functional teams.
- Analyze project proposals to assess financial viability and identify potential risks.
- Continuously monitor project expenditure, reporting on budget statuses and variances.
- Partner with procurement and engineering teams to identify and realize cost-saving opportunities.
- Guide and coach junior team members in cost management principles and practices.
- Introduce and refine best practices in cost planning to improve workflow efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant industry standards throughout the cost planning process.
- Engage with stakeholders to present financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is considered a plus.
- A minimum of 12 - 16 years of experience in cost planning or similar fields, particularly within large construction or project management environments.
- Proven track record in developing and managing detailed cost estimates and budgets.
- Certifications in cost management (e.g., CCP, MRICS) are highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills, with the capability to interpret complex financial data and formulize recommendations.
- Expertise in cost management software such as Primavera, SAP, or equivalent tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Adept at managing multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor and grow team talent.
- A sound understanding of local construction regulations and standards in Saudi Arabia is beneficial.
