A Snapshot of Your Day

Your day involves overseeing mechanical activities for the assembly, packaging, and testing of gas turbines and compressors. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality standards and timely project completion. Leading your team, you perform mechanical assembly of various components and prepare necessary equipment and tools.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Oversee mechanical activities related to the assembly, packaging, and testing of gas turbines and compressors for power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, and related industries.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional matrix organization to consistently achieve high-quality standards, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Lead and support a Siemens Energy package assembly team, which includes Siemens Energy employees and various third-party contract technicians.
• Perform mechanical assembly of packaged systems, including large electric motors, turbo compressors, gearboxes, lube oil systems, seal gas panels, process pipework, instrumentation tubes and fittings, junction boxes, and cable trays, often handling components exceeding 200,000 kg.
• Interpret and apply assembly drawings, P&IDs, line diagrams, inspection test plans, and other technical documents to ensure accurate assembly of packaged systems.
• Prepare equipment, consumables, and tools for daily assembly needs, assist in the maintenance of packaging and production equipment, and engage in discussions with production and quality management to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Degree in Packaging Production and Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college, with a preference for a bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of extensive and hands-on experience in assembly and packaging activities for rotating equipment, with recent practical involvement.
• Proficient in pipework and structural welding, electrical cable, tray and conduit system assembly, tubing and instrument systems assembly, and ensuring the assembly, alignment, and cleanliness of critical components.
• Knowledge of painting systems and field service experience in maintaining gas turbine or compressor packages, particularly in the alignment of rotating equipment and process piping, is highly advantageous.
• Thorough understanding of applicable international and industry standards, with strong proficiency in MS Office and CAD systems.
• Fluency in English is essential, with a strong preference for Arabic language skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to understand, interpret, and resolve assembly-related issues in complex technical situations, and a strong commitment to quality.
