A Snapshot of Your Day
Your day involves ensuring the effective execution of regional major projects, managing procurement and logistics. You send and evaluate RFQs, negotiate with suppliers, and process purchase orders. Monitoring delivery dates, you expedite shipments and coordinate with carriers and suppliers. You prepare logistics budgets, issue POs, and maintain shipment logs. Your strong communication and organizational skills help you manage supplier relationships and ensure timely project completion.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Ensure effective execution of regional major projects with end-to-end responsibilities for materials from suppliers, overseeing procurement and logistics activities.
- Manage procurement processes by sending and evaluating RFQs, selecting and negotiating with suppliers, processing purchase orders, and negotiating frame contracts.
- Drive supplier qualification and ensure the accuracy of supplier/material master data required for ordering, while supporting supplier evaluation, development, and quality management activities.
- Define and implement commodity strategies and risk management activities related to materials expertise (e.g., motors, switchgears).
- Monitor fulfillment of delivery dates, drive expediting efforts when delivery dates are at risk, and coordinate logistics with forwarders and carrier partners to meet project deadlines.
- Prepare logistics budgets for ongoing tenders, issue purchase orders for logistics-related services in SAP, create necessary reports for site, PM, and CPM, and maintain shipment logs for import and export activities while providing Proofs of Delivery to internal and external customers as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical or Automation Engineering, providing a solid technical foundation.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on execution and coordination.
- Preferred experience working with suppliers in Electrical and Automation commodities, such as transformers, motors, and switchgears, both locally and internationally.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction between suppliers and internal stakeholders (Sales, Project Execution, Commercial, and Cross-Functional Units) to ensure project scope and requirements are met within timelines.
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office tools and applications for reporting purposes, facilitating efficient data management and analysis.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required to support supply chain activities and stakeholder engagement.
