QuidelOrtho has a new opening for a Key Account Manager to join our team in Egypt, as we look to implement a new structure and framework that will support our customers. Due to our strong commercial success in 2024 - 2025, and the high growth expectations, we are looking to hire top talent to join us on this exciting journey and support our continued expansion across 2025 and beyond!
Your New Role: As the Key Account Manager; you must possess strong market, environment, distributor management and customer knowledge to develop and deliver annual business plan and achieve annual growth. You will have in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence in the territory.
- Selling products and services using solid knowledge to prospective customers.
- Performing cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers.
- Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales.
Responsibilities
- Developing sustainable long-term relationship with key influencers in the market to maintain current business growth.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction with products, solutions, services and after sales support and manage ongoing business meetings that facilitate open discussions and market visibility.
- Prospect for new business opportunities in the assigned territory, in addition to growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio.
- Qualify new leads to maintain identified business to promote a healthy sales funnel for future sales with focusing on both horizontal and vertical growth of product lines.
- Driving profitable revenue by identifying and closing opportunities within strategic accounts.
- Setting monthly, quarterly and yearly forecast for annual business plan and ensures accuracy and achievement.
- Achieving agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within agreed upon yearly AOP.
- Supply his/her manager with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Support and monitor Business Partner's performance with key customers within territory to ensure proper coordination to respond properly to customer's requirements.
- Developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders of critical customers as well as KOLs to anticipate customers’ needs and insights in his territories.
- Product, market, and competitive intelligence - serves as resource for questions about products, services, and solutions.
- Responsible for managing/controlling the customers and the company inventory to ensure in and out reagent process.
- Following-up on governmental and private tenders in his assigned territory and feed his manager and the company with all the necessary information and actions on time.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders to maximize the business development in Egypt.
Market And Product Knowledge
- Stay abreast of key market changes, trends, competitive intelligence, and anticipate changes in the external environment.
- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders of critical customers /NGOs, GPOs as well as KOLs to anticipate customers’ needs and insights in his territories (public and private).
- Product, market and competitive intelligence - serves as resource for questions about products, services and solutions.
- Proactively forecasts market, industry, technology and competitive trends.
- Identifies and maintains a deep understanding of competitors offering.
- Maintains a constant focus on how regulatory requirements and compliance guidelines impact the business.
The Individual
- University Degree in Medical related field (Medical Technology/Pharmacy/Science) is required.
- 3+ years experience in Laboratory Diagnostics sales role(s) is preferable or in a related medical background field.
- Proficient at analyzing commercial data and identify key trends or drivers of change. Solid understanding of trends in the in-vitro diagnostic market and factors that influence the market place would be beneficial.
- Highly motivated and target drive with a proven track record in sales.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Native Arabic, and fluent English.
The role is based in Cairo, Egypt.
