Data Governance Consultant

Master-Works is seeking a dedicated Data Governance Consultant to enhance our clients' data management capabilities. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and implementing data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, availability, and security. You will collaborate with various teams to establish best practices that drive effective data management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and develop data governance strategies that meet organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

• Work with data stewards and business units to identify data quality issues and implement necessary controls.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance processes and standards.

• Facilitate stakeholder engagement to promote awareness and compliance with data governance policies.

• Evaluate existing data governance tools, recommend enhancements, and assist in the implementation of new solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Data Science, or Business Administration.

• At least 5 years of experience in a data governance, data management, or related role.

• In-depth knowledge of data governance practices, data quality metrics, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven track record of leading data governance initiatives successfully.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data systems and identify improvement opportunities.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey data governance concepts to various audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in data governance or data management, such as CDMP or DGSP.

• Experience with data governance tools like Collibra, Informatica, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with emerging data trends, technologies, and best practices in data governance.
