Job Description

  • Maintain all electrical equipment and all electrical control panels’ inaccurate function.
  • Prepare preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all electrical panels, motors, electrical appliances, etc.
  • Distribute the work to subordinates according to capabilities to get the best results.
  • Ensure that the work done by subordinates are according to the specified standard.
  • Ensure that all related tools are in safe place and in good working condition.
  • Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and maintain records for future reference.
  • Coordinate with other departments counterparts and ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress and create healthy inter-department relationships.
  • Create opportunities for engineering Employees to multitask and increase their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain all kitchen and laundry equipment in good working order.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen and Laundry equipment.
  • Maintain the performance of pumps and motors.
  • Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.
  • Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures Engineer.
  • Allocation of duties to the appropriate Engineering staff / contractors with the guidance of the Chief Engineer.
  • Knowledge of the hotels BMS system.
  • Usage of effective trouble reporting system.
  • Master card/Key/mobile/vacuum machine/Ladder sign in-out.
  • Check the opening check list is followed.
  • Check the master card, key and mobile.
  • Take over from the previous shift.
  • Prepare the work order for the staff.
  • Conduct the shift briefing.
  • Conduct the training as per schedule.
  • Check the BMS every often.
  • RSM – Process flow and guidelines. Check RSM Dash board/ recovery to respond immediately with in 15minutes.
  • Plant room/ boiler room/ chiller yard regular rounds.
  • Follow up for pending job.
  • Check for the material stock and order the material.
  • Once LPO ready follow up with Suppliers and receive the material with proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with other department for any Engineering related works.
  • Follow up for the break down jobs.
  • Inspect the PPM work and make sure done as per standard.
  • Prioritize all the works which related to guest and complete the job ASAP.
  • Immediate response for the water flooding, fire alarm, gas alarm, Elevator stuck.
  • Take care of all life and safety related job like fire system, gas alarm, Generator system, UPS.
  • All the DM requirement work to be carried out and update the file on daily basis.
  • Safety Hazard to be reported to respective outlet/department.
  • Any abuse to hotel property and utilities must be reported with proper incident report to respective leader.
  • Monthly check PPM file to be updated daily.
  • Monthly safety check of facilities.
  • Continues monitoring of utilities.
  • Public area walk through in every shift.
  • HACCP and Planet 21 process to be followed up daily.
  • Guest room – guest room maintenance and inspection.
  • Guest room – SOP in attending guest room complaint.
  • Communication – daily shift log book.
  • Reports – meter reading.
  • Energy Conservation – energy checks.
  • Function rooms – Banquet Event Order/Event Shortlist.
  • Preventative Maintenance - process flow and guidelines.
  • Safety – incident /accident report.
  • Operation – Work shop repair.
  • Safety – General Work Permit.
  • Safety – Welding and Cutting.
  • Safety – Hazardous Work.
  • Email box to maintain not exceeding 1500mb.
  • Preparing annual Performance Review for all the technicians.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
