At Octopus by RTG, we strive to link distinguished organizations with exceptional talent across the globe. We are in search of a proficient Senior Database Administrator who will play a pivotal role in one of the largest retail firms in Saudi Arabia (KSA).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring the highest levels of performance, availability, and security of databases within our Microsoft ecosystem. This individual will work in close partnership with IT teams to devise architectural strategies at the database tier and execute comprehensive solutions for efficient data management and retrieval.

Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company databases.
- Optimize database systems for performance efficiency.
- Perform database maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Design and manage database strategies, system monitoring, and improving database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements.
- Implement and oversee database policies, procedures, and standards, and ensure compliance with data management laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure data completeness, security, and confidentiality.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other technical staff about database best practices.
