Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Area Sales Manager to oversee our sales operations within a designated geographic area. This role is critical in driving growth, increasing market share, and leading a high-performing sales team in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the distributor’s team to develop a comprehensive activity calendar for assigned accounts and regions.
- Maintain an updated database for visibility and track all activations for assigned accounts/territories.
- Verify and approve all activity and compensation documents provided by the distributor’s team for assigned accounts/regions.
- Develop and implement growth plans for assigned accounts/regions, including KPIs, troubleshooting performance gaps, and nurturing outstanding initiatives.
- Cascade execution plans and performance KPIs to distributor team contacts, and monitor progress against business KPIs.
- Dedicate time to market visits and customer meetings for continuous improvement in execution and collaboration levels.
- Track and follow up on executions in trade through the distributor team’s contacts.
- Ensure achievement of all execution KPIs and meet Perfect Store assigned targets.
- Provide regular feedback to the distributor team through field visits, sharing best practices, models, and tools.
- Lead and plan future assigned projects, tracking execution through the distributor’s team.
- Collect and analyze customer data to provide data/fact-based actions.
- Focus on customer service to maintain partnerships with key regional customers.
- Meet all assigned task deadlines.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven track record in the FMCG industry (at least 5+ years).
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities.
- Deep understanding of the local market, distribution channels, and customer behavior.
- Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong skills in PowerPoint and MS Office.
