Job Description: Network Engineer
The Opportunity Presight is seeking a highly skilled and solution-oriented Network Engineer to develop and enhance network platform capabilities. This role will support and improve business processes by creating new solutions or modifying existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
As a Network Engineer At Presight, You Will
- Design and implement strategies to achieve optimal network performance, reliability, and security while identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and deploy new network solutions and enhance the resilience of the existing network environment.
- Build network infrastructure by designing system configurations, overseeing system installations, and defining/enforcing system standards.
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, proxy servers, DNS, DHCP, and WAN accelerators.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues, and collaborate with network architects to optimize the network.
- Anticipate networking trends, analyze current data traffic, forecast network growth, and upgrade network equipment as necessary.
- Utilize a variety of tools to monitor networks, systems, storage, and data centers, ensuring all alerts are addressed promptly in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
- Work closely with vendors and the fault management team to resolve system-related issues and escalate problems to senior engineers as required.
- Prioritize network and system issues by creating and routing tickets, and provide critical service outage notifications.
- Administer firewall environments by analyzing firewall logs in compliance with IT security policies.
- Perform disaster recovery operations, report network statuses, and ensure timely data backups when required.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance policies and procedures.
Additionally, You Will
- Design high-performance, resilient, and secure network architectures for Smart City infrastructure, including AI-driven security systems and cloud-based platforms.
- Develop network architecture blueprints, standards, and roadmaps for all platform and infrastructure components.
- Ensure low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity to support real-time video processing, traffic management, and AI analytics.
- Collaborate with network architects and security teams to enforce system security and performance standards.
- Configure and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, proxy servers, WAN accelerators, and fiber optics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues across Smart City infrastructure and perform network upgrades.
- Monitor network performance and cybersecurity risks using NOC tools, ensuring all network failures and performance issues are addressed within SLAs.
- Implement predictive analytics for network capacity planning and trend analysis.
- Coordinate with vendors, fault management teams, and IT security teams to resolve incidents.
- Administer firewall environments, perform firewall log analysis, and ensure compliance with IT security policies.
- Implement secure network segmentation to protect critical Smart City systems.
- Perform disaster recovery operations and ensure business continuity by maintaining regular backups and testing failover mechanisms.

Qualifications
To Qualify, You Must Have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Certifications from Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or Fortinet NSE are a plus.
- Willingness to international travel at least 50% as required by the role, based on business needs and project requirements.

- Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, STP)
- LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, MPLS, 4G/5G backhaul
- Fiber connectivity & wireless networking
Network Security & Firewall Administration
- Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint)
- IDS/IPS systems, SIEM tools, access control policies
- Zero Trust Security, Micro segmentation, IPsec, SSL VPNs
Cloud Networking & Infrastructure
- Azure/AWS Cloud Networking (VPC, Load Balancers, VPN Gateways)
- Integration with AI-driven Smart City cloud platforms
Network Monitoring & Performance Optimization
- NOC tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, Wireshark)
- Incident triage & SLA enforcement
- Predictive analytics for network capacity planning
Additional Skills
- Strong understanding of NOC operations and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
