This project, "Promoting Integrated Service Delivery for TB and Other Respiratory Diseases by Addressing Access Barriers at Primary Healthcare Settings with Contextualized Interventions," will be implemented in 17 HFs in 7 districts of Farah and 32 HFs in 17 districts of Badakhshan provinces through Mobile Health Teams (MHT).
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Nurse is responsible for the reporting to Project Manager (PM) and Project Provincial Officer (PPO) in the respective province.
With travels to Badakhshan Districts (Argo, Arghanjowa, Baharak, Darwaz-e-Bala, Fayzabad, Jurm, Keran-o-Menjan, Keshm, Kohestan, Raghestan, Shighnan, Shahr-e-Buzorg, Shohada, Wordooj, Yaftal Sofla, Yamgan (Geerwan), Zebak).
Farah Districts (Anaar Darah, Farah, Khak-e-Safid, Laash-o-Jaween, Por Chaman, Posht-e-Road, Sheeb Koh).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and support the MHT during the patient’s checkup in the field
- Collect the sputum of Presumptive TB patients in field and transfer safely to the Gene-Xpert site.
- Ability to conduct spirometry tests for respiratory diseases using a spirometer.
- Ensure proper documentation of patients
- Ensure that all necessary registration documents and medical equipment are in place before traveling to field
- Any other task assigned by supervisor
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- At least 3 years of experience in health sector
- Fluent in local languages and good English language skills in speaking, writing and reading
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Be familiar with the culture of the people in the target province to ensure effective communication and engagement
