Guardian is looking for an
Equipment Maintenance Engineer.
The position is based in 10th of Ramadan city, Sharqia.
What You Will Do
- Lead the team responsible for maintaining and improving the Vacuum coater equipment.
- Create a vision for the team and assuring that all team members are aligned with this vision.
- Leading complex projects in a team-based environment taking advantage of your excellent relationship building and communication skills.
- Utilizing lean and/or continuous improvement methodologies to facilitate equipment improvements and teach others.
- Training production operators, maintenance operators as well as equipment engineers and working collaboratively with them to improve processes and equipment.
- Working closely with the Coater Technical Manager as well as the Coater Manager to drive the operations forward.
- Understand the equipment operation and maintenance on a sputtering based industrial glass coating line.
- Capable of troubleshooting vacuum systems.
- Support R&D experiments on production equipment. Assist in the planning, execution and analysis of these experiments, troubleshooting vacuum coating systems.
- Understand and refer to Guardian SharePoint data in order to determine best practices, benchmark and review applicable documentation. Apply what’s been learned.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Ceramic Engineering, Chemical, Physics, or one of the Engineering disciplines.
- Proven experience in implementing preventive and predictive maintenance tools for equipment.
- Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Good level of communication in English
- Experience in using statistical methods and analysis.
- Ability to clearly present and communicate ideas, concepts, and plans across various organizational levels.
- Demonstrated capability to lead design and process failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Experience leading complex projects, with the ability to quickly analyze problems and develop effective corrective actions.
- Experience with MS Project and MS Excel.
- Ability to generate design of experiments (DOE) documentation and execute the plan(s) associated with them.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in Optical Thin Film technologies and vacuum-related technologies, with a focus on reactive magnetron sputtering processes and equipment.
- Familiarity with low vacuum and surface preparation equipment.
