Product Manager Eye Care - MENA region
the position will be based in Cairo as a full time employee
Reports To: Marketing Manager, UAE
Region: Middle East & North Africa (MENA)
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Develop and execute regional brand strategies for artificial tears, eye care supplements, and diagnostic staining products, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Identify market opportunities, competitive threats, and customer insights to optimize brand positioning and differentiation.
- Lead the Falba Project, ensuring effective market entry and positioning strategies.
Market Expansion & Commercial Execution
- Work closely with local teams and distributors to ensure successful implementation of marketing plans across MENA.
- Collaborate with sales teams to drive market penetration, sales performance, and customer engagement.
- Ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements and adapt marketing strategies accordingly.
Marketing & Digital Initiatives
- Develop promotional campaigns, medical education programs, and digital marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and adoption.
- Monitor market trends and leverage digital tools to optimize marketing reach and engagement.
- Provide training and marketing support to local teams and distributors.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between the regional marketing team and local markets, ensuring smooth execution of marketing plans.
- Work closely with R&D, regulatory, medical, and sales teams to align brand initiatives with business goals.
- Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and distributors to drive advocacy and market growth.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Analyze market data, sales performance, and campaign effectiveness to optimize marketing strategies.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations, providing insights and recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare brand management, preferably in ophthalmology or eye care.
- Experience working in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region with a strong understanding of regional market dynamics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple brands and projects across diverse markets.
- Knowledge of omnichannel strategies and the ability to integrate digital tools into brand plans effectively.
- Excellent in English language verbal and written, French language will be a plus
- Flexibility for frequent travelling.
Key Competencies
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective brand strategies.
- Market Insight: Strong analytical skills and understanding of the MENA ophthalmology market. Experience in Microsoft Excel.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Experience in working with cross-functional teams and distributors.
- Digital Marketing Acumen: Knowledge of omnichannel marketing and digital engagement strategies.
- Communication Skills: Ability to influence and engage stakeholders effectively
- Presentation Skills: strong experience and knowledge in powerpoint and public speaking.
Our Offer
- Open ended contract as per the Egyptian Law
- Annual Compensation amounting from 750,000 to 900,000 based on the experience.
