Job Description
- Education: At least a vocational diploma
- Experience: Experience in hospitality industry.
- Language: Good command of English in addition to Arabic.
- Additional: Valid drivers' license.
- Skills: Provide a warm welcome, bid farewell and express wishes of their return. Ensure smooth traffic flow in front of the lobby. Understand guest inquiries and provide responses, guests' needs. Prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Work well under pressure of check-in/check-out of guests. Exert physical effort in placing, removing guest luggage to/from guest room. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Previous customer service training.
Qualifications
- Directs traffic at the main entrances to ensure the driveway is instantly accessible at all times.
- To be entirely flexible and be able to be rotated within the different sub departments of the Rooms Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned when it’s required.
- To assist in the receipt and delivery of packages, flowers or other items.
- To make sure that the storeroom for the luggage is well kept at all times.
- Check the daily arrival and departure reports (Nationality, Timing, Transportation,..)
- Transport guest luggage from the vehicle to luggage carts.
- Assist in locating guest's lost luggage.
- Correctly tag, store and retrieve luggage from luggage room.
- Identify and explain hotel facilities and features to guests while escorting them to their room.
- Identify fire exit closest to the lobby area.
- Demonstrate use of room key to guests.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of scheduled functions within the hotel to direct guests to correct locations.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of local attractions and activities to recommend for guest inquiries.
- Relay accurate directions to guests on inquiries of transportation within the local area.
- Answer Bell stand telephone within 3 rings using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
- Handle guest complaints by following the instant pacification procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Remain in assigned post position, maintaining correct stance.
- Deliver daily newspaper to specified guest rooms.
- Monitor and maintain appearance of lobby areas and luggage holding area.
- Ensure confidentiality of hotel guests and security of guest.
- Successful completion of the training/certification process.
- Assist Bell Person with unloading and loading of vehicles.
- Assist with parking and retrieving vehicles, security of vehicle keys and accurate recording on vehicle claim tickets.
- Assist Concierge staff with guest requests and services.
- To predict that all activities and to be purchased all equipment and belongings may create disease for the environment, to join all activities which is organized to protect biological diversity and shares the responsibilities, shares the individual responsibilities in order to increase environment knowledge and to carry on necessary trainings. To provide minimum consumption currently used all stuffs and equipment (paper, printed out etc.).
- To implement necessary warnings and departmental trainings in order to save energy inside the facility. To carry on implementing decisions which were taken for saving energy. To predict effects of environment and efficiency of energy on purchased equipment.
- To implement his responsibilities in order to eliminate and collect waste in a proper way, reduce environmental pollution and harmful effects to the environment.
- Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management systems implemented at the facility.
