Job Description Summary

The Africa Growth Leader position will be responsible for driving GEHC business growth across Africa through direct and indirect channels. The ideal candidate will focus on the growth and performance of Indirect Channel Partners (ICP), ensuring a healthy and non-conflicting ICP network. This role will also involve identifying and implementing initiatives to grow direct business in different African countries and seeking synergies across various functions within GEHC, ICP network and customer network across Africa.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow GEHC business in Africa through both direct and indirect channels.
  • Focus on the generating revenue and market share growth in African countries where GEHC is direct or through ICP. Identify in-country development opportunities in financial, operational, and service capacity in different countries to ensure sustainable success.
  • Maintain a healthy and efficient ICP network across Africa, ensuring no conflicting overlap among partners.
  • Identify and pursue initiatives, concepts, and opportunities to grow direct business in various African countries.
  • Foster synergies among different countries, customers and functions within GEHC and the ICP network to maximize business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and implementation of growth strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on business performance, market conditions, and growth initiatives to senior management.

Required Qualifications

  • More than 7-10 years of experience in healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth through direct and indirect channels in emerging markets, preferably within Africa.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and market dynamics in Africa.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
  • Willingness to travel across Africa.
