Strategy, Insights & Analytics Manager Egypt & Algeria

As a Strategy, Insights & Analytics Manager, you will ensure people centricity within the organization. By being the voice of the consumers, you will bring to life deep and actionable people-centric insights and be a business partner and challenger to marketing and sales teams with the objective to grow our business.

As a SIA Manager for the sub-Saharan dairy business, you will partner with both our Egypt & Algeria teams.

About The Job

As a Strategy, Insights & Analytics Manager, you will be doing the following activities

  • SIA is a business partner to marketing and sales team, with an independent and unbiased voice, who’s role is to nurture and challenge strategic decisions. SIA Manager also works in collaboration with the zone head of SIA and aligns with them on key projects.
  • The scope encompasses both Egypt & Algeria businesses, each coming with their own specificities and challenges. They both have different contexts and portfolio
  • One of the key challenges in the region is a lower penetration of the yoghurt and dessert category. Identifying levers of growth is key, and SIA has a pivotal role in this.
  • Market research and data availability also come with their own challenges. In Egypt & Algeria, creativity is needed to compensate for the incomplete retail audit data, the absence of household panel, and to find the right balance between cost and coverage of several markets
  • Ad-hoc research (40%)
    • Co-creating a yearly research roadmap with your marketing and sales stakeholders that will answer key business questions within the aligned SIA budget.

    • Managing the design and execution of primary research innovation, renovation, communication, U&A, shopper, etc. This includes writing research briefs, briefing agencies, supervising questionnaire creation and fieldwork quality. All this in collaboration with the SIA manager sitting in Egypt & Algeria.

    • Helping to shape presentations and identifying business implications and opportunities.
    • Insight generation and strategic business partnering (25%) Partnering with marketing and sales on strategic initiatives to challenge and bring a people-centric perspective to our strategy

    • Innovation and growth hacking identify white spaces and capitalizing on growth opportunities through data-driven decision-making, creative problem-solving by testing and learning in an agile way.

    • OBPPC optimizing our strategic plans on occasions, brands, price, pack, and channels.

    • Category, portfolio and brand strategy and communication partnering on category strategy and segmentation, ensuring consistent brand messaging and effective people-centric communication.

    • Shopper and retailer partner on the development of shopper-focused strategies to enhance the overall shopping experience, optimize assortments, promotions, and customer engagement strategies by channels.

    • Business needs Partner and support marketing and sales teams with people-centric insights for key occasions such as business reviews, strategic planning, annual operating planning.
    • Performance monitoring and market intelligence (25%)

    • Responsible for brand health tracker and household panel in terms of planning, aligning, reporting, and uncovering actionable insights to nurture the business growth strategy.

    • Tracking of competitors’ activities and of market trends to inspire and guide our strategy.

    • Retail audit data will be managed at zone level (monthly update and deep-dives), so that the local SIA head can focus only on fewer specific deep-dives.
    • Consumer and trade immersion (10%) Responsible for all marketing and sales teams to be constantly connected with consumers and the trade, through digital interview tools, consumer visits, trade visits, etc, with the objective that all strategies, innovations, or communication is based on people centric insight.

    About You

    • 10-15 years of experience in a market and consumer insight role.
    • Ability to connect the dots of data and facts into people centric insights that tell a story.
    • Ability to network and work in collaboration cross functionally and regionally.
    • Ability to challenge stakeholders and the status quo to keep our business fully people centric.
    • Track record in driving and committing high level stakeholders into business insights.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
