Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Officer – Facilities to support the day-to-day inspection and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including medical gas infrastructure. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of critical systems across our healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and supervise maintenance activities in designated areas.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and outsourced FM contractors to ensure timely task completion.
  • Ensure safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed at all work sites.
  • Monitor ongoing maintenance tasks, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate equipment logs, checklists, and system readings.
  • Review and verify asset data and as-built drawings for accuracy.
  • Support emergency maintenance works and system troubleshooting.
  • Conduct daily site visits to assess and ensure maintenance quality.
  • Stay updated on developments in MEP and facilities systems through regular learning.
  • Provide reports and updates to supervisors as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in facility management, particularly in a healthcare.
  • Good understanding of MEP systems, medical gas systems, and maintenance processes.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise outsourced teams and ensure work quality.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
