At ALA Engineering, we’re on a mission to transform agriculture through safe, autonomous, and intelligent technology solutions. We are seeking a General Software Engineer who will help develop robust C++ and Python software for IoT telematics devices, as well as Qt-based applications powering our field-deployed agricultural robotics systems. This is an in-office role in New Cairo, Egypt, where you’ll work closely with a talented team to bring advanced automation to the farms of tomorrow. Role Level (SE1, SE2, or Senior SE) will be determined based on experience.

- Proficiency in Linux systems (Ubuntu) and working in a Bash/terminal environment
- Strong experience in Python programming
- Strong experience in C++ programming
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with the Qt framework for Application Development
- Prior experience working with IoT Devices or Systems
- Experience with Balena Cloud Platform (Preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (4-year) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant Software Engineering Experience
