Senior Data Privacy Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Privacy Consultant with deep expertise in the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) to lead and support privacy initiatives across our organization or client environments. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in assessing compliance, implementing privacy frameworks, and advising on best practices to ensure alignment with PDPL and other relevant data protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of PDPL-compliant privacy programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and gap analyses to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Advise stakeholders on data privacy obligations under PDPL and related regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Support data classification, consent management, and records of processing activities (RoPA) initiatives.
• Develop and deliver training and awareness sessions for internal teams and clients on PDPL requirements.
• Collaborate with legal, IT, security, and business units to ensure end-to-end privacy compliance.
• Monitor changes in PDPL and global privacy laws, providing updates and recommendations as needed.
• Assist with data breach response planning and incident management from a privacy perspective.
• Support client engagements and pre-sales activities, including responding to RFPs and presenting privacy solutions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and clients on data privacy strategy and governance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Information Security, Data Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or legal advisory roles.
• Proven experience with PDPL implementation is required; knowledge of international frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, data sharing, and privacy risk assessments.
• Familiarity with privacy management tools (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, BigID) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

• CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT (by IAPP)
• PDPL-specific training or certifications (if applicable)
