Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, leases, and correspondence.
- Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the hospitality industry, ensuring that the hotel remains compliant with all legal requirements.
- Conduct legal research on various topics, including but not limited to labor laws, property laws, and liability issues, providing summaries and recommendations as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for litigation matters, including gathering relevant documents, organizing evidence, and coordinating with external legal counsel.
- Maintain an organized system for tracking contracts and agreements, monitoring expiration dates, and facilitating renewals or terminations as necessary.
- Provide administrative assistance to the senior management, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field.
- Prior experience working in a legal setting or as a legal assistant is preferred, particularly within the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with legal principles and procedures, including contract law, property law, and litigation processes. Proficiency in legal research and writing is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external parties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research databases.
- Demonstrated integrity and a commitment to upholding ethical standards in all aspects of work.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
