Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of upstream oil & gas projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
Technical Coordination: Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure that project deliverables meet technical specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with project execution and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
Cost Control: Monitor project costs and expenditures, identify variances from budgeted amounts, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure that projects are completed within approved budgets.
Schedule Management: Develop project schedules, establish milestones, and track progress against key project milestones to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed established quality standards and client expectations.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all project activities comply with applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, and implement measures to promote a safe working environment for all project personnel.
Client Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns or issues, and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Change Management: Manage project changes, scope revisions, and deviations from initial project plans, ensuring that changes are properly documented, assessed for impact, and approved by the appropriate stakeholders.
Lessons Learned: Conduct project reviews and lessons learned sessions at the conclusion of projects to identify areas for improvement and best practices to be applied to future projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Petroleum) or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project engineering or project management, preferably in the upstream oil & gas industry.
Strong technical knowledge of upstream oil & gas operations, including exploration, drilling, production, and processing.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) and familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).
