Retail Cards business is the leading growth engine of the consumer banking business. With a return on assets at almost 14% it is one of the most profitable retail asset product. It is thus important to drive this business both from a “spend & book growth” perspective as well as “new customers”. The unit’s key goal is to drive balances and revenue for the Cards Business. Balance building is the Key pillar of Card Business and will continue to remain key focus for the bank while building on customer engagement and loyalty

Emirates NBD credit cards are one of the biggest when it comes to spend and balance book growth. 2023 was record year for Cards business and to ensure we continue to build momentum, balance build continue to remain the key focus for Cards business led through depth and breadth of portfolio actions in 2024 & beyond. For achieving this goal, it is critical to sustain/ accelerate the momentum in acquisitions, spends and loyalty space .

Job Overview

As Assistant Manager – Cards Portfolio at Emirates NBD, your role is to

  • Manage Cards portfolio tele-sales unit and 3rd Party unit focused on acquisition of Credit Cards Installment Plan, Balance transfer, Balance Conversion, Loan on Card and Advanced loan on call building Sales Agents
  • Driving Non-Core Sales & Installment ENR via segmented targeting to ensure right pricing based on customers profile, activate new customers, optimize credit card utilization and maximize revenue earnings.

Responsibilities

  • The jobholder is responsible for identifying & developing potential categories which helps in the business growth. This could be through introducing balance building products which helps in balance growth and revenue generating products helping to grow the bottom line
  • Build balance through aggressive LOC, IPP, Balance conversion, Balance transfer & Advance Loan on Card campaigns
  • Run monthly campaigns with CCO/Digital channels to maximize penetration and Insurance revenue earnings
  • Responsible for identifying & developing potential categories which helps in the business growth. This could be through introducing balance building products which helps in balance growth and revenue generating products helping to grow the bottom line
  • Launch regular sales booster & customer initiatives for front end sales to boost volumes and improve agent level productivity
  • Regular call listening and tracking SQ checks to ensure Audit trails and compliance management
  • Manage Insurance product sales, revenue & profitability generated on Credit card portfolio
  • Regular updates to management and sales head to drive business KPI

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience…

  • University Degree
  • 3 + years of experience in managing sales team within UAE
  • 3 to 5 years of experience & Knowledge of Cards/competitive landscape in UAE
  • Understanding of Cards life cycle stages & drivers
  • Open to managing sales tasks siting across different locations
