Backend Developer - Mintea

Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled back-end developer to join our team of creators who are consistently raising the bar for user experience. Working behind the scenes, the ideal candidate will have a unique blend of technical expertise, insatiable curiosity, and analytical mindset. This person should be comfortable working independently as well as with a team in the design and development of mission-critical websites, applications, and layers of infrastructure. Experience with JavaScript, Node.JS, React, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Git, and database management is helpful to succeed quickly in this role. The back-end developer will have an immediate effect on our business success as well as the success of our clients.

Objectives of this role

• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers regarding progress on long-term technology roadmap
• Create and maintain workflows with teams to provide visibility and to ensure workload balance for consistent visual designs
• Develop and oversee testing schedules in client server environment, addressing various browsers and devices to ensure that content is displayed as intended
• Produce quality code, raising the bar for team performance and speed
• Recommend systems solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchased alternatives
  
  

Platforms to work on;

• AWS based cloud infrastructure (CloudFront, Load Balancer, EC2, Serverless, CloudWatch, ElasticSearch etc)
• PostgreSQL db and additionally S3 for object storage
• Swagger based API
• Docker based containers
• auto-scale and load-balancer
• backend code runs on EC2 instances or Serverless
• system deployed behind CloudFront
• backend code tracked and debugged by CloudWatch
  
  

Backend code should be developed according to the needs of and with the serving purpose to different frontend UI's (both mobile app and desktop webapp) and their extensive UX work patterns; which utilizes React, React-native, Next.js, Typescript etc. and BitBucket hosted code repositories.

Backend code should be developed according to the Mintea platform's and its interfaces' extensive utilization of third-party libraries / systems like;

• Twilio for video services
• Stripe for payment services (also integrations with external services)
• WooCommerce for e-commerce functions (also integrations with external services)
• TinyMCE for content creation / editing on CMS module
• Chat and chatbot services
• Device interfaces (e.g. Sleep tracker)
• EMR (Electronic Medical Records) exchange interfaces
  
  

These options should be able to be changed according to the development needs of the project and for deployments on other regions.

Code and system setup also requires experience regarding implementing data compliancy standards (HIPAA, GDPR, UAE's PDPL and for later stages other required standards in other regions).

5+ years of experience on the described environment and demonstrable references of fielded work where the applicant was the main or the lead developer is required.
