Learning Lead

Overview: We are a global game-making organization focused on youth-centered learning where the next generation of creators work with professionals to develop games. Inspired by open-source software and game modding communities, we operate as a globally distributed, massively open youth-focused game-making studio and learning community. Our mission is to use games and game-making as a catalyst to inspire creativity, entrepreneurship, and a diversity of voices in the games and media sector.

About the Opportunity: We are engaged in several ongoing learning programs in the UAE, with activities in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, and emerging opportunities in KSA and other areas in the Middle East. This role involves daily leadership, managing regional personnel and mentors, overseeing program design and delivery, and serving as the main point of contact with the global team.

Reports To: Chief Learning Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of game design and development mentors in delivering quality educational programs.
• Provide training, support, and guidance to mentors.
• Mentor, develop, and run in-person and online programs.
• Ensure consistent delivery and quality assurance of educational programs.
• Build relationships with schools, governments, and organizations to increase engagement.
• Lead curriculum design in game making and operationalize program assessment activities.
• Collaborate with the internal team for seamless integration of educational programs with products and services.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; graduate education is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in a senior education leadership role, especially with online learning or game design.
• Passion for games, learning, and empowering the next generation.
• Strong track record in leading teams and building relationships with stakeholders.
• Understanding of 21st-century computing and creative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the Middle East is preferred.
  
  

Travel: International travel is required within the region and occasionally globally.

Salary and Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience. Relocation package negotiable for applicants not currently in-region.
