Job Summary:


The Physiotherapist will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients suffering from physical disabilities, injuries, or impairments. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to enhance patient mobility, relieve pain, and improve overall function and quality of life.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with patients to identify and assess physical issues.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment programs.
  • Assist patients with joint and spinal problems, particularly post-surgery.
  • Support patient rehabilitation following accidents, injuries, and strokes.
  • Document patient case notes and compile reports.
  • Collect and analyze patient statistics.
  • Educate and advise patients and their caregivers on prevention and improvement strategies.
  • Work as a professional member of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, actively participating in team meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with staff members, health professionals, clients, and families regarding physiotherapy services.
  • Contribute to and participate in educational programs for residents, relatives, and staff.
  • Engage in continuing education and courses to update physiotherapy techniques and knowledge.
  • Ensure physiotherapy equipment is adequately maintained and liaise with the head of the department for ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Base physiotherapy treatments on sound evidence of benefit.
  • Record and report all adverse clinical events.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance of a safe workplace by participating in the implementation of safe systems of work.
  • Identify and report hazards in the workplace.
  • Participate in the Quality Management System and commit to continuous improvement activities, including auditing, surveys, and needs analysis.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • DHA License / Eligibility as a Physiotherapist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physiotherapist, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Empathetic, patient-focused approach to therapy.
