Recruitment Specialist (construction + Engineering)

Responsibilities:

• Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and define ideal candidate profiles.
• Actively source qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and employee referrals.
• Review resumes and applications, screening candidates based on qualifications and experience to shortlist potential candidates.
• Conduct initial phone screenings and/or in-person interviews to assess candidate suitability for the role.
• Coordinate the interview process, scheduling interviews with hiring managers and other relevant personnel.
• Perform background checks and reference verification for shortlisted candidates.
• Negotiate salary and benefits packages with top candidates and extend offers.
• Onboard new hires by providing them with necessary information and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
• Stay informed about industry trends in recruitment and talent acquisition.
• Maintain and track recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire.
• Prepare reports for hiring managers and senior leadership on recruitment activities and results.
• May participate in career fairs and employer branding initiatives (depending on the company).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in recruitment or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the recruitment process and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
