Position Title: Intellectual Property (IP) Officer

Reporting to: Dr. Heba Kaoud (IPTTO Director)

School / Department: Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (IPTTO)

Purpose: work with the office Director in the development of NU -IP portfolio

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Perform studies on the Patentability and Market Assessment of various inventions
• Support implementation of strategies to protect intellectual property output
• Manage all aspects of intellectual property protection and licensing
• Correspond with external patent agents and intellectual property different stakeholders.
• Assist with the Negotiation of license agreements and other agreements with external parties
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
• MS - PhD is a plus
  
  

Experience

• Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in related field

• Ability to manage a complex workload and work to tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
• Excellent command of Arabic and English languages
