We have launched from Egypt to Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and UAE, and are looking to build and expand our footprint across the MENA-P region.

About the Role:

Marketplace is an extremely critical part of this business and its vision; it is at the very center of the seamless shipper-carrier connection we’re trying to achieve. Marketplace is a function that connects both shipper and carrier. The Marketplace is in charge of all the dynamics between our customers; starting with the optimal pricing point to maintain fulfillment at all times to adjusting our operating model and fulfillment modes to sustain our value proposition.

As the leader of the Marketplace, you basically run the show. You are the platform’s brains that keeps things running smoothly, and ensures both shippers and carriers are getting the absolute best experience possible. You will own the value delivery to both customers, this is mainly through understanding our product and our USP to each customer and enabling our teams to deliver on it by solid processes and controls at each stage on all stakeholders.

The Marketplace function is basically our differentiator from being a traditional broker to a smart tech driven broker disrupting this industry. YourYou’re core engine is customer insights and data trends, this should drive solid business decisions that enable us to scale efficiently.

What You'll Do:

  • Build Analytics Power House
  • Understand the business thoroughly and develop a map with all inputs & outputs, develop a robust reporting system with monthly, weekly & quarterly reports sent to customers & functions.
  • Run all weekly & monthly meetings as the owner of all dashboards/decks.
  • Dedicate time weekly for leads analytical tasks & provide a detailed view on all relevant metrics for each function’s lead.
  • Build internal assessment reports periodically to identify data trends and steer the business with EGLT.
  • Continuously analyze customer data and provide monthly quarterly reports on customer insights and how to enhance our offerings/figures.
  • Market and Performance Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. This involves analyzing industry reports, market data, and competitor strategies to provide a comprehensive view of the market landscape and competitive positioning.
  • Continuously collecting primary data from our customers through in-depth-interviews and round tables to enhance our offerings.
  • Market Disruption:
  • Map all internal processes and analyze its impact on the business for potential optimization.
  • Map customers touch points and processes to highlight potential improvements.
  • Find innovative ways to disrupt processes or to adjust our operating model in any given vertical. This would entail finding solid correlations between process adjustments and figures enhancements and capitalizing on it to launch some experiments.
  • Strategic Planning Support:
  • Assist in the development and refinement of the company’s strategic plan with EGLT.
  • Conduct workshops and brainstorming sessions with all relevant data sets & process maps ready.
  • Compile all initiatives and develop a clear tracker to monitor progress. Set a process to review strategy progress & re-iterate on all initiatives with department heads.
  • Provide support for strategic projects from conception through to execution, is crucial to deliver for our 2024 strategy. This involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are aligned with strategic goals, and resources are utilized effectively.

What You'll Need:

  • 3-4 years of experience in consulting/investment or in tech startups.
  • Strong marketplace experience.
  • Strong analytical and experimentation background.
  • Owning and leading strategy for line of business.
  • SQL proficient.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Advanced Computer Skills (MS Office & GSheets).
